ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country with chances of very hot weather in Sindh province during the next 24 hours.
However, rain-wind/thunderstorm may occur at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the period.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country . A shallow westerly wave was present in upper parts of the country.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, rain/thunderstorm was occurred at isolated places upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
The rainfall recorded during the time was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Malamjabba 23mm, Kalam 04, Kakul, Lower Dir 02, Sindh: Mithi 23, Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore 04, Bagrote 02, Kashmir: Muzaffarabad 01mm.
The highest temperatures recorded were Chhor 41C, Lasbella, Karachi and Shaheed Benazirabad 40C.
