Hazara Motorway link road from M-1 remains closed
ABBOTTABAD, Sep 28 (APP):The Hazara Motorway link road connecting it with M-1 remains closed for restoration work, while Motorway M-1 between Islamabad and Peshawar has been reopened for all kinds of traffic in both directions, the Motorway Police said on Sunday.
According to a traffic advisory issued by the Motorway Police, restoration work on the link road connecting M-1 with the Hazara Motorway is still underway. Similarly, the M-14 from Hakla to Kundal remains closed as restoration work continues.
The Motorway Police said traffic travelling from Islamabad towards Abbottabad through M-1 could exit at Burhan Interchange, proceed via GT Road through Hassan Abdal and rejoin the Hazara Motorway at Jhari Kas Interchange.
Earlier on Saturday, the GT Road routes from Abbottabad to Islamabad and Peshawar to Islamabad were also reopened, providing relief to commuters and travelers who had faced difficulties due to the closure of major highways.
The Motorway Police advised motorists to use the available alternative routes and follow traffic advisories for safe and smooth travel.
