RAWALPINDI, Aug 26 (APP): Vice-President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Punjab Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Friday said that Prime Minister Muhamad Shehbaz Sharif was making all-out efforts to help the flood-affected victims.
Addressing a press conference here at his residence, Abbasi said that the coalition government, under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, was working day and night for the rehabilitation and relief of the flood victims.
To overcome the prevailing economic situation of the country, he said that the federal govt was engaged with donor agencies and friendly countries, including IMF, Asian Development Bank, UAE, Saudia Arabia, China and others, to bring huge investment in Pakistan.
He informed that Pakistan would hopefully receive around ten billion dollars from its friends by September 10, which would help to bring the country out of the ongoing economic crises.
On the occasion, he demanded the ministry of finance to review the taxes included in the power bills and added not to impose more tariffs on industries as the business community and industrialists were already paying heavy taxes to the government.
President Markazi Anjuman Tajran, Sharjil Mir, Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Arshad Awan and several local PMLN leaders were also present.
