QUETTA, Aug 09 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhail directed that all NADRA authorities should make improvements in their existing procedures by taking advantage of modern scientific inventions and new information technology.
He expressed these views while during a briefing regarding the performance and future plan of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) at Governor House Quetta.
Director General NADRA Kashif Iqbal and Principal Secretary to Governor Balochistan Hashim Khan Ghalzai were also present in the briefing.
The Governor said that double shifts should be started in NADRA offices in major cities and mobile vans to be run for remote districts of the province and its number should be increased.
He said that to achieve this, people were making friendly policies and making conscious efforts.
Governor Balochistan said that introduction of online application system by NADRA was actually a new initiative, the aim of which was to increase the convenience and accessibility of all necessary documents for the general public.
This will reduce the need for people from remote areas to go to NADRA offices, he said.
Governor Mandukhail was taking benefit from new information technology in our existing procedures, saying that we could significantly reduce the rush in our NADRA Offices.
He urged all the deputy commissioners, local government representatives, media persons and civil society to create awareness among the people of their respective areas to prepare the birth certificates and other necessary documents of all children at the level of every union council in order to pave the way for proper registration and issuance of relevant cards and certificates at the official level.
He said that the new public-friendly measures taken by NADRA have been designed to facilitate access to all important documents of the public.
The Governor said that it was the duty of every intelligent person of the society to fully cooperate in this matter and find modern solutions to the problems being faced.
