Dera Ismail Khan , Apr 09 (APP):In line with the ongoing activities of DeraJat 2025, several engaging events were organized on Wednesday under the auspices of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here in Dera Ismail Khan.
Among the key events were the bull race and donkey race competitions, as well as an art exhibition held at the District Auditorium in Dera Ismail Khan, which attracted significant attention.
The art exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Director-General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abdul Nasir Khan and will continue for two days.The exhibition features the creative works of nearly 75 senior and junior artists from Dera Ismail Khan.
The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Administrator of Peshawar Sports Complex, Jafar Shah, Director of Sports, Adnan Sohsil, Deputy Director of Sports Operations, Jamshed Baloch, Focal Person for Provincial Minister Sports, Hanif Dawar and other relevant.
During the exhibition, Director-General Abdul Nasir Khan appreciated the stunning and creative artworks displayed by local artists, commending their talent and artistry.
He personally interacted with the artists and praised their work, assuring them that the Sports Department would continue to provide platforms through such events to promote their skills and creativity. He emphasized efforts to showcase the artwork both nationally and internationally, to raise awareness of these talented artists.
DeraJat 2025 activities will continue until April 20, with the final event being the Off-Road Jeep Challenge, which will feature some of the country’s top riders.
