DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sep 08 (APP):The district police repelled an attack by unknown terrorists on a police station late Thursday night, says police.
According to a police spokesman unknown militants stormed Draban police station with automatic weapons, hand-grenade and rocket-launchers late at night.
The police promptly and effectively retaliated and an exchange of fire continued for half an hour.
As a result, the attack was successfully repulsed by the valiant police personnel and the terrorists managed to escape while taking full advantage of the darkness of the night.
He said no casualties occurred due to the attack, adding as an exchange of fire ceased, the police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the second terrorist attack on Draban police station in this week, which the police repulsed with great bravery and forced the terrorists to escape, he added.
