CHINIOT, Feb 18 (APP):Taking a pledge to make Chiniot district clean according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Safiullah Gondal made an emergency visit to different areas of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the streets and alleys of Tehsil Lalian, Chenab Nagar and other areas and observed the cleanliness situation.
He took stock of the amount of garbage dumped so far during the regular operation after the One-Time Cleaning OTC and said that Clean Punjab is the flagship program of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, so citizens should see a clear change in terms of cleanliness.
He inquired from the people present on the occasion about door-to-door waste collection. The citizens present on the occasion declared the Clean Punjab program a success.
The Deputy Commissioner also visited the market declared as a model in Lower Chenab Nagar and said that it is a priority to clean the markets of Chiniot district from encroachments and restore their beauty. For this purpose, boards of the same design and type are being displayed.
They also reviewed the anti-encroachment operation and said that there is zero tolerance on anti-encroachment.
