SARGODHA, Feb 21 (APP):The sixth meeting of Board of Directors of the Sargodha Waste Management Company (SWMC) was held in the conference room under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Jahanzeb Awan on Friday.
The meeting reviewed and approved four agenda items. The board endorsed the decisions made in its fifth meeting and also approved the resolutions passed in four meetings of the Human Resource Committee.
It was reported that out of 36 selected candidates for the post of Assistant Manager Monitoring, 23 have joined the company. Interviews for the Chief Internal Auditor position have been completed. Additionally, the board approved the hiring of a General Manager Monitoring, General Manager Procurement & Contracts, Assistant Manager Landfill Site, and IT Assistant for SWMC.
The meeting also discussed launching a Zero Waste Campaign across all four districts. This agenda item was referred to the Procurement Committee for discussion before being presented in the next Board of Governors (BOG) meeting. Two financial committee agenda items were deferred to the next meeting. Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan directed that all workers must receive their minimum wages on time via bank payments.
He also emphasized strict enforcement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for contractors.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Capt(retd) Muhammad Waseem, SWMC CEO Rana Shahid Imran, SE Public Health Engineering Syed Saulat Raza, and board members Abdul Razaq Dhon, Mian Sultan Ali Ranjha, Umair Ashraf, Kishwar Durrani, among others.
