CCPO reviews security arrangements for semi-final match at Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE, Mar 05 (APP):Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana, visited Gaddafi Stadium to inspect security arrangements for the much-anticipated semi-final match between South Africa and New Zealand.
The visit aimed to ensure foolproof security measures for players, officials, and cricket fans.
During the visit, SSP (Operations) Tasawwur Iqbal briefed the CCPO Lahore on the security plan. SP Cantt Owais Shafiq, SP Model Town Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar, and ASP Gulberg Circle Shah Rukh Khan were also present.
The CCPO Lahore reviewed security arrangements around the stadium, including entry and exit points and enclosures. Expressing satisfaction with the arrangements, he emphasized the importance of strict security protocols for the smooth execution of the event.
He directed supervisory officers to maintain constant coordination with relevant departments and instructed police officers to remain vigilant at all key security points throughout the match.
He also ordered continuous patrolling by Dolphin Force, the Special Protection Unit, and the Elite Force to ensure a safe environment.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana reiterated that Lahore Police are committed to providing top-tier security to both local and international players and fans. He assured that all security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) would be strictly implemented. “The safety of citizens and the promotion of sports are our top priorities. Lahore Police will continue to play its role in ensuring a secure and peaceful environment for all,” he added.
