Balochistan CM vows to improve law & order situation in province

QUETTA, Aug 13 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Tuesday presided over the meeting to improve law and order situation in the province.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Longo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Additional Chief Secretary Home, senior officials, IG Police Balochistan and Director General Levies Force.
The meeting was briefed on the overall law and order situation on behalf of the Home Department.
The Officials briefed the meeting regarding the incident that happened yesterday in Khada- Kucha area of Mastung where the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Panjgur was martyred by unknown gunmen.
Balochistan Chief Minister has been instructed to submit a detailed report of the Mustang incident to the Additional Chief Secretary Home.
He also sought a report on the implementation of prevailing standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the transportation of officer saying that measures would be taken to eliminate nefarious design of terrorists in order to maintain durable peace in the province.
The blood of the martyrs will not go in vain, every drop will be counted, he said adding that the war against terrorism was not for the army and bureaucrats, but for it was every member of the society.
The CM said that the Levies Force should play an active role as in the past and strive to reach the involved elements saying that terrorists should be chased by showing immediate reaction in any incident.
He said that Balochistan government would strengthen police and Levies to deal with sabotage for maintaining peace in the areas adding that necessary equipment, weapons and vehicles would be given to Levies Force to curb terrorist activities in the area.
He said that Balochistan government would fight against terrorists at every level and repel them adding that anti-state activities on social media should be closely monitored.
The Chief Minister said that he would not allow social media to be used as a tool of terrorism.
“The war against terrorists is not a single organization’s war, but the whole nation’s war”, he said adding that terrorists and their facilitators would be brought to their logical end.
