MIRPUR (AJK), Jul 09 (APP):Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Prime Minister, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq on Tuesday said that permanent settlement of post 1990 Kashmiri refugees, pouring in from Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) into AJK, was his government’s priority.
“The AJK government in collaboration with the government of Pakistan, will use all resources for the resettlement of the Kashmiri refugees”, he said this while speaking the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony regarding the construction of 750 houses for the post 90s refugees in the state metropolis .
Reiterating his commitment of rehabilitating the Kashmiri refugees, the prime minister said the government would never leave in lurch the members of the migrant community who were forced to leave their homes and hearth by the Indian occupation forces.
“Refugees are our brothers. Providing all the basic facilities to the them is our first priority”, he said.
He said, ” We salute the people of Occupied Kashmir for their courage and resilience in the face of Indian oppression”.
Anwaar ul Haq said that the government and people of Azad Kashmir would continue to support their brethren till they achieve their cherished goal of freedom.
” Kashmiri people have never accepted India’s illegal occupation of their motherland by India nor will they ever bow down to India’s oppression”, he added.
The PM, on the occasion, also thanked the Government of Pakistan and other donor organizations for their significant contribution in initiating the landmark project.
The ceremony was also addressed among others by Minister for Rehabilitation, Javed Iqbal Badhanvi and attended by ministers including Waqar Ahmad Noor, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Raja Muhammad Siddique Khan, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Ms. Taqdees Gilani, Chief Secretary, Dawood Muhammad Barich and others.
