PESHAWAR, Oct 27 (APP):In a crackdown against counterfeit mobil oil here, the district administration had confiscated 5000 litres of counterfeit mobil oil being packed in bottles of renowned brands.
As per the directives of Deputy Commissioner Aafaq Wazir, Additional Assistant Commissioner Misbha Waheed conducted a raid in the renowned Shuba Bazar here and visited various mobil oil shops. During the raid, her team found counterfeit mobile oil being sold in the shop.
The ADC along with the team also discovered a godown where fake and recycled mobile oil was being packed in bottles of renowned brands and being supplied to the market.
The team seized 5000 litres of Mobil oil, stickers of different brands including ZIC, Shell, Caltex, PSO, Kixx, etc. empty gallons and bottles and packing machinery.
Two accused persons were held from the godown while five shops were sealed on the spot. The district administration registered cases in the police station and legal action against the accused persons.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shuba Bazar was notorious for such kind of activities and teams of district administration time and again sealed the godowns and shops but no solid step was ever seen to curb the practice permanently.
