MULTAN, Sep 10 (APP):Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has apprehended 258 power pilferers of various categories during the third day of an ongoing operation in South Punjab (SP) under the direction of the Caretaker Prime Minister.
The task force teams raided various places across the region against power pilferers and imposed a Rs 16.5 million fine on them.
MEPCO and police have also arrested eight power pilferers from Multan, Layyah, Zahir Peer, Vehari, and other areas.
The applications were sent to police stations concerned for lodging cases and cases were registered against 35 power pilferers in a day.
