RAWALPINDI, Mar 30 (APP):The Saddar Beruni Police on Sunday arrested two accused who had snatched cash from the staff of a petrol pump at gunpoint three days ago.
According to the Rawalpindi Police spokesperson, the petrol pump staff was on the way to the bank to deposit the cash when the armed accused looted the amount and fled.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani took notice of the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of the suspects.
The Saddar Beroni Police registered a case of the incident and traced and arrested the suspects through technical means and human intelligence with the total looted amount of Rs 1,922,640.
The arrested suspects included a pump employee Faizan and Anzar Gul alias Bora, an Afghan national.
Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Kashif Zulfiqar handed over the money recovered from the robbers to the plaintiff.
CPO Hamdani congratulated the SP Saddar, ASP Saddar, and Station House Officer Saddar Beruni and his team for the arrest of accused within three days of the incident and 100 percent recovery of the snatched amount.
The plaintiff of the case expressed gratitude to Rawalpindi Police for the arrest of the accused and full recovery of the looted money.
