ISLAMABAD, Apr 21 (APP):The United Insurance Company of Pakistan Limited has entered a strategic partnership with the One Link (Private) Limited to provide digital insurance services through the nationwide platform of OneLink.
For the first time in Pakistan, consumers of schedule and microfinance banks will be able to access United insurance policies through digital channels, including mobile apps and web portions said a news release.
The move aims to smooth the issuance of micro -insurance policy and processing of claims, especially to provide more convenience and protection for consumers in remote areas.
United Insurance has become the country’s first private sector insurance for digital distribution for digital distribution. This partnership is expected to increase the access to United Insurance and increase consumer confidence in the insurance sector.
The agreement was signed by United Insurance CEO Mian Shahid and One Link’s Najib Agarwala. Hassan Tariq, the head of the UBL’s digital team, was also present, representing the role of United Bank Limited as a settlement bank for United Insurance.

Industry stakeholders have termed the partnership of One Bill Services as an important step towards digital change in insurance in Pakistan.
