KARACHI, Feb 21 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port on Friday where a chemicals carrier ‘Amagi Galaxy’ berthed at Engro Vopak Terminal on Thursday. Meanwhile another edible oil carrier ‘Thetis Leona’ carrying Palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of six ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them grain carrier ‘Spike’ left the port on today morning, while three more ships, UOG Harriet, SIBI and CL Shangao expected to sail on today afternoon.
Cargo volume of 86,016 tonnes, comprising 80,275 tonnes imports cargo and 5,741 tonnes export cargo carried in 183 Containers (59 TEUs Imports & 124 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Mariam, CS Stira and Asia Liberty & another ship ‘ONE Readiness’ scheduled to load/offload Rice, Palm oil and Container are expected to take
berths at MW-2, FAP and LCT are respectively on today Friday 21 th February, while another containers ship ‘X-Press Kohima’ due to arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday.
