LAHORE, Jul 28 (APP):Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq said on Sunday that modern designing was essential for capturing global furniture markets as it meets the evolving needs and preferences of buyers. By focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, modern designs could successfully attract a diverse and discerning international market, he added.
Talking to a delegation of furniture designers and manufacturers, led by Muhammad Araib Arain, he said in today’s fast-paced world, buyers increasingly prefer furniture that offers both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Modern designs emphasize simplicity, clean lines, and innovative use of materials, catering to a wide range of tastes and spaces.
He said the global furniture market is highly competitive, with buyers having access to diverse products from around the world. Modern designs stand out by offering unique features that traditional furniture often lacks. Additionally, the integration of technology in modern furniture, such as smart storage solutions and ergonomic designs, meets the demands of tech-savvy buyers, he added.
Furthermore, sustainability is a significant concern for contemporary buyers . Brands that embrace these values can differentiate themselves in the global market, he concluded.
