ISLAMABAD, June 3 (APP): The government on Friday unveiled Rs 1.675 trillion Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2016-17 which would be utilized for various ongoing and new development schemes.
Out of total PSDP, Rs 800 billion have been set aside for the federal departments whereas a sum of Rs 875 billion has been allocated for the provinces.
According to details, out of Rs 800 billion federal PSDP, the government allocated Rs 21.486 billion for Higher Education Commission, Rs 27.560 for Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Rs 31.716 billion for Water and Power Division (Water Sector) while Rs 11.997 billion have been earmarked for Planning, Development and Reform Division.
A sum of Rs 24.951 billion have been earmarked for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division, Rs 11.554 billion for Interior Division and Rs 25.75 billion for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Division while Rs 188 billion have been earmarked for National Highway Authority, Rs 130 billion for WAPDA (Power Division).
The government also allocated Rs 22.3 billion for States and Frontiers Regions Division while Rs 100 billion have been earmarked for Special Development Programme for Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) and security enhancement.
Under federal PSDP, 2016-17, the government set aside Rs 20 billion for Prime Minister’s Youth Development Programme whereas Rs. 25 billion for Gas Infrastructure Development Fund.
Likewise a sum of Rs. 20 billion was set aside for Pak SDGs and Community Development Programme, Rs 28 billion for Special Federal Development Programme and Rs 7 billion for ERRA.
Railways Divison would get Rs 41 billion under the federal PSDP, 2016-17 whereas Ports and Shipping Division would get a sum of Rs 12.825 billion.
The government earmarked Rs 1.777 billion for Science and Technological Research Division whereas Rs 2.5 billion were allocated for SUPARCO.
Similarly the government allocated Rs 4.695 billion for Aviation Division while Rs 369.384 million for Cabinet division.
A sum of Rs 2.562 billion has been set aside for the development projects of Capital Administration and development Division and Rs 1.027 billionwould be spent on Climate Change Division.
Similarly Commerce Division would get Rs 796.857 million for its development projects and Communication Division (other than NHA) would receive Rs 5.285 billion.
The government has earmarked Rs 2.526 billion for Defence Division whereas Rs 2.3 billion have been allocated for Defence Production division.
Under the federal PSDP, 2016-17, the establishment division would get Rs 136.523 million while Federal Education and Professional Training Tivision would receive Rs 2.221 billion.
Likewise a sum of Rs 9.201 billion have been allocated for Finance Division whereas Rs 500 million have been set aside for Foreign Affairs Division.
The government has allocated Rs 6.554 billion for Housing and Works Division and Rs 170 million for Human Rights Division.
An amount of Rs 909.525 million has been set aside for Industries and Production Division whereas Rs 335.405 million have been earmarked for Information and Broadcasting Division.
Under federal PSDP, 2016-17, the government has earmarked Rs 645 million for Inter Provincial Coordination Division and Rs 1.5 billion for Law and Justice Division.
Likewise Rs 218.425 million have been allocated for Narcotics Control Division while Rs 1.52 billion for National Food Security and Research Division.
A sum of Rs 67.116 million have been earmarked for National History and Literary Heritage Division and Rs 271 million have been set aside for Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
Similarly a sum of Rs 587.476 million has been allocated for Petroleum and Natural Resources Division while Rs 34.314 million have been set aside for Religious Affairs and Inter Faith Harmony Division.
Statistics Divison would get development fund of Rs 200 million while Textile Industry would receive an amount of Rs 150 million under the programme.
The government also allocated Rs 687.304 million for Revenue Division.
