Traditional taxi service faces tough competition as online ride-hailing service trend rises

ISLAMABAD, Mar 11 (APP):Most of the traditional taxi services are facing tough competition, as citizen’s increasing demand for app-based new online ride-hailing service trend is rising with each passing day.
There are more than ten thousand registered cabs in federal capital serving masses over the years but they lost their market in a short span of time after app-based services overwhelmingly won public approval.
A traditional ‘Kali-peeli taxi’ driver Faizan Arshad said they were paying heavy taxes over the years and therefore demanded of the authorities to deal the same with other services to create a competitive environment . “The old taxi services must adopt new techniques to remain in the market,” he added.
