RPO Rawalpindi, MIMS ink MoU

RAWALPINDI, Apr 29 (APP):The Regional Police Office (RPO) Rawalpindi and the Munawar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide high-quality education opportunities in various medical fields to the children of police officers.
Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi Region Babar Sarfraz and MIMS Chief Executive Officer Dr Obaid inked the MoU on behalf their organizations.
Under the agreement, the children of police martyrs studying at MIMS would get 50 percent discount in fees. Similarly, the children of police veterans would avail 25 percent and those of serving & retired officers and civilians 20 percent discount.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Obaid said the MIMS would  provide not only quality education but also a safe, research-based, and professional environment to the children of police officers, so that they could achieve a prominent position in the medical field.
RPO Alpa said the agreement was not only a ray of new hope for the families of police officers, but also a great example of harmony and mutual cooperation between public and educational institutions.
“We want to see the children of our police officers progress in the field of education. This partnership with Munawar Institute of Medical Sciences will provide a better educational environment to our future builders, which is a positive and far-sighted step,” he added.
Under the MoU, the children of police officer of the Rawalpindi Region will be given priority in admission to MIMS, educational facilities, scholarships, and educational guidance.
“This initiative will prove to be an important milestone for the welfare of the police force and the educational development of their families,” the RPO spokesman said.
