Pakistan invites global investors to PMIF25: Ali Pervaiz

ISLAMABAD, Mar 21 (APP):Federal Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division), Ali Pervaiz Malik Friday invited global investors to take part in the upcoming Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 (PMIF25), scheduled for April 8 and 9.
In a briefing to ambassadors from various countries, the minister encouraged them to send delegates to explore Pakistan’s vast mineral resources and investment opportunities.
Ambassadors from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, China, the USA, Canada, Iran, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Morocco, Kenya, the Czech Republic, and Indonesia attended the briefing.
He said the forum will bring together government ministers, international corporations, investors, policymakers, and experts to discuss Pakistan’s mineral potential.
Malik highlighted that Pakistan has significant mineral wealth, including some of the world’s largest copper and gold reserves.
“PMIF25 will be a gateway for international investors to learn about Pakistan’s evolving mining sector, understand recent policy reforms, and explore opportunities for large-scale mining projects,” the minister said.
Describing PMIF25 as a major platform for global investors, he said the event will showcase Pakistan’s unexplored mineral resources through two key areas including a strategic conference featuring panel discussions such as “Driving Responsible Growth in Mining Development. An exhibition highlighting Pakistan’s top mining resources, technologies, and companies.
The minister also said the forum will present Pakistan’s recent policy reforms, including the National Mineral Harmonization Framework and efforts to strengthen institutional capacity.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to sustainable energy transitions and invited participants to learn about the country’s strategic vision for developing its mineral sector.
“Pakistan is positioning itself as an attractive destination for mining investments,” he added.
