Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Mar 18 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where five ships, Valence, Seaspan Santos, Chinook-1, Al-Jasra and Oriole carrying Container, Palm oil, LNG and
Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively during last 24 hours.                Meanwhile four more ships, DS Rosa, Nave Rigel, Khairpur and Kaisa-1 with Palm oil, Mogas, Gas oil and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage on during last 24 hours.
       A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Maritime Guardian and Harmony left the port on today morning, while three more ships, Seaspan Santos, Maritime Amity and Peace Angel are expected to sail on today afternoon.
       Cargo volume of 101,481 tonnes, comprising 59,310 tonnes imports cargo and 42,171 tonnes export cargo carried in 3,612 Containers (1,917 TEUs Imports & 1,695 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
       There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Saga, Agri Ocean, EM Zenith, Kaisa-1 and Valence & another containers ship ‘MSC Greenwich’ scheduled to load/offload Palm oil, Soya Bean Seed,Mogas, LPG and Container are expected to take berths at MW-1, FAP,FOTCO, EVTL and QICT are respectively on today Tuesday 18 th March, while another containers ship ‘Winking’ is due to arrive at outer anchorage on Wednesday.
