RAWALPINDI, Jan 14 (APP):The Rawalpindi Police on Tuesday nabbed 17 law breakers, including drug dealers, liquor suppliers, kite seller and Tenancy Act violators from across the district.
According to a police spokesman, three accused were during actions against drug dealers and liquor suppliers. The Wah Saddar Wah Police held accused Mudassar Qayyum with 1.56 kilograms of hashish, while the Airport and Gujar Khan Police arrested accused Babar and Hussain respectively on the recovery of 5 litres of liquor each from them.
Similarly, the Airport Police held two criminals wanted in cheque dishonour cases. The accused Zakaria was wanted to the police in the case registered a year ago, while the accused Amjad was booked during the current year.
The Airport Police also arrested a kite seller Haris with 200 kites and two strings.
Meanwhile, 11 suspects were arrested for violation of the Tenancy Act during search operation carried out in different areas. The arrested accused included Azrar, Nabil, Hamza, Saim, Dawood, Mazhar Iqbal, Khalid, Siddique, Sanwal Mushtaq, Kaif Abbas and Abrar Hussain.
