ISLAMABAD March 7 (APP): Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on Monday clarified that the authority has transferred Rs 45.388 billion in Account of Deputy Commissioners of Diamir and Kohistan for onward payment of compensation amount to the affected people of Diamir Bhasha Dam. Out of the transferred amount, both the Deputy Commissioners have so far reimbursed Rs 37.885 billion to the affected people as compensation of land and assets said Spokesman of WAPDA in a statement issued here.
