LAHORE, Oct 11 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a private hospital (Hameed Latif) for treatment discounts for the Punjab Police employees.
A ceremony in this regard was held at the Central Police Office on Friday. A Punjab Police spokesperson said that police employees and their families will receive a discount of 15 to 27 per cent on medical expenses across all departments. Families of police martyrs will receive a 27 per cent discount on OPD services, while police employees and their families will receive a 22 per cent discount on OPD services. Police employees and their families undergoing treatment at the hospital will receive discounts of 15 to 22 per cent on overall expenses. A 25 per cent discount will be offered to police employees at the Lahore Institute of Fertility and Endocrinology Centre.
IG Punjab expressed gratitude to the management of the private hospital for their support in improving the health welfare of the police force.
He said that police employees will have access to quality healthcare facilities in Pakistan’s best treatment centre equipped with modern amenities. The officials of the private hospital praised the services and sacrifices of Punjab Police in maintaining law and order and combating terrorism.
MD Haroon Latif Khan said that under public-private partnership, deserving police employees will be provided with excellent healthcare facilities. The same facilities will be available in all departments at Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital and Hameed Latif Teaching Hospital under the signed MoU.
