ATTOCK Jul 09 (APP):The district health authority on Tuesday in ongoing crackdown against quacks in Hazro tehsil sealed 32 illegal medical outlets.
Drug Inspector, Dr Syed Muhammad Ashaar Naqvi, talking to media persons informed that during crackdown against unregistered medical stores and spurious drugs, 32 quacks’ shops had been sealed and added that fifty cases had been forwarded to the District drug control board for necessary action.
Naqvi said FIRs had been registered against the owners of two medical stores and clinics at Rangoo and Hazro police stations respectively for de-sealing their outlets without official nod.
He added that samples of four medicines were found sub standard during laboratory check and action was being taken accordingly.
To a question, he said that mafia involved in illegal practices in health sector posing threat to precious lives would have to face the music.
