PPAF to celebrate World Environment Day in Quetta

QUETTA, Jun 25 (APP):The Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) in collaboration with the Center for Peace Development, BRDS and IDO is all set to organize a seminar to celebrate World Environment Day in the provincial capital of Balochistan here on Wednesday.
The seminar themed ‘Our Land Our Future’ is aimed to raise awareness among the communities about climate change and its adverse effects on human lives and environment.
The governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail would be grace the event as a chief guest.The Provincial Ministers, Parliamentarians, Secretaries, Vice Chancellors, Media, and people from different walk of life would attend the seminar.
The purpose of the seminar is to spread awareness among the people as the whole world is being affected by the extraordinary effects of climate change.
Climate change is the biggest challenge of the 21st century and Pakistan is one of the top five countries in the world which is being affected by climate change and its effects.
The seminar is the part of PPAF’s nationwide campaign of its ambitions to eliminate the poverty which is interlinked with climate change.
PPAF engaged with local communities to address environmental challenges, promote sustainable development, and preserve the eco-system of the country.
