LAHORE, Sep 25 (APP):Pakistan-China Joint Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has celebrated 74th China’s National Day by conducting conference titled “CPEC achievements, targets and future prospects”.
According to the joint chambers’ spokesperson here Monday, the chief guest of the event was Du Yue, director and senior most officer, Consulate General of People’s Republic of China. Various keynote speakers including Lt- Gen Nasser Khan Janjua, former Corps Commander Quetta, Shahzad Ali Malik, chief executive officer, Guard Agricultural Research and Services (Pvt) Ltd, Lu Jianxue, President, Lahore Overseas Chinese Association, Ma-Xiayoan, Executive President, Tang Chinese International Organisation, Moazzam Ali Ghurki President PCJCCI, and Hamza Khalid participated in the event.
Sharing his views, the chief Mr. Du Yue said, “I believe the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries is characterised by feelings of mutual trust, respect and goodwill towards each other. PCJCCI has set a remarkable example of this goodwill. I regard China Pakistan Economic Corridor; not only the road to economic prosperity of Pakistan, but the future of whole world.”
In his welcome address, the PCJCCI President Moazzam Ali Ghurki said, “I congratulate the people and leadership of China on the occasion of National Day. We highly admire and appreciate the development of China, especially during the last four decades. We believe it is all due to the visionary leadership of China and the right reforms and policies introduced by the Chinese government.”
Nasser Khan Janjua emphasised to provide infrastructural support to investors as Gwadar alone has the capability to change the fate of Pakistan and by putting our motherland into the right direction.
Governor’s Inspection Team Chairman Dr. Saad said that it is expected; CPEC projects would add a rise of 2.5 per cent in GDP of Pakistan and provide employment opportunity with almost 2.3 million jobs as well.
Hamza Khalid, Vice President PCJCCI shared his views by saying that every year there was a festive mood in Pakistan on the National Day of China, as the Pakistan government and the people knew that the completion of the CPEC related economic projects being done with the cooperation of China would certainly enhance Pakistan’s trade, its economic growth rate, created employment for the people and would enhance their incomes and in the overall scenario this economic development would ultimately bring prosperity to the Pakistan and its people and would also help Pakistan in alleviating poverty.
Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI, thanked the worthy speakers and the event was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate China’s National Day.
