Govt allocates Rs 25750 mln for various schemes of Kashmir Affairs, G-B Division

ISLAMABAD, June 3 (APP): The government has allocated an amount of Rs 25750 million for various new and ongoing schemes of Kashmir Affairs and Giglit Baltistan Division under Public Sector Development Programm (PSDP) for the fiscal
year 2016-17.

According to PSDP released here Friday, the federal government has allocated Rs 12000 mln for Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) block allocation, Rs 400 mln
for 48 MW Jagran Hydro Power Project AJK, Rs 200 mln for Athmuqam-Keran Bypass road, Rs 700 mln for construction of Rathoua Haryam Bridge across
reservoir channel on Mirpur Islambargh Road, Rs 200 mln for MBBS Medical College Mirpur, Rs 200 mln for Mir Waiz Muhammad Farooq Shaheed Medical College,
Muzafarabad, Rs 300 mln for Nausri-Laswa Bypass, Rs 400 mln for water supply and sewerage scheme Mirpur City and Hamlets and Rs 50 mln for water supply scheme
Chakswari Phase-II, District Mirpur AJK. The government also allocated an amount of Rs 250 mln for the AJK Legislative Assembly Complex.

Similarly, the government has allocated an amount of Rs 11050 mln for various new and ongoing schemes of Gilgit- Baltistan for the fiscal year 2016-17.
According to PSDP, the government allocated an amount of Rs 9000 mln for the Gilgit- Baltistan Block Allocation, Rs 700 mln for the construction of 16 MW
Hydel Power Project Naltar-III and Rs 500 mln for the 34.5 MW Harpo Hydro Power
project.

The government also allocated an amount of Rs 50 mln for the new scheme of
Attabad Lake Resort (Feasibility Study), Rs 500 mln for the 20 MW Hydro Power
Project, Hanzil, Rs 200 mln for Medical College, Gilgit, Rs 50 mln for Technical
College Gilgit and an amount of Rs 50 mln for the upgradation of Road from RCC
Bridge Konodas to Naltar Airforce Base via Nomal (Feasibility Study).
