ISLAMABAD, May 22 (APP): Never the one to be cowed down by a bigger bully like India, almost from its very inception Pakistan has found a time-tested ally in China which has provided it defence, economic and diplomatic support over the decades.

As the two countries complete 65 years of diplomatic relations, one can easily see that $ 46 billion CPEC (or China Pakistan Economic Corridor), once accomplished, will cap the “loftier than mountains and deeper than oceans” relationship that began with the establishment of diplomatic ties back on May 21, 1951.

Be it the manufacturing, with joint collaboration, of military hardware, including aircraft, economic assistance in a broad range of fields, or using its displomatic clout at UNO or other world forums, China has stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan, proving a potent counterweight to India.
