ISLAMABAD, May 19 (APP): The government of Japan
announced on Thursday to extend a soft loan of US $59 million (6.29 billion Yen) to the Pakistan government for polio eradication.
This loan would be utilized to procure 273 million doses
of Oral Polio Vaccines for polio eradication campaign.
Talking to media, Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar
said Japan was an old and trusted partner of Pakistan and also appreciated its support to the country for the eradication of Polio.
He said that though eradication of polio
from the country was a big challenge for the government but it had determination to eradicate this disease.
