Govt. to continue policy of reconciliation: Naek
ISLAMABAD, Feb 21 (APP): Acting President Farooq H. Naek on Tuesday said that present government is continuing the policy of political reconciliation to resolve the issues confronted by the country.He was addressing the National Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference organized by the National Seerat Council. Naek said the government is taking forward Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s policy of reconciliation to end racial discrimination, prejudices and riots.

He said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and heavy responsibility lies on the Ulema that they should give the lesson of Islamic unity, love and brotherhood.
Success of ‘Sulah Hudaibiya’ and ‘Fateh Makkah’ were the glorious examples of reconciliatory approach adopted by Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), he said.
“Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the king of all the prophets and we are very fortunate that we belong to the ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)”, he added.
He urged the nation to seek guidance from teachings of Islam and follow the footsteps of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to live a successful life.
Chairman National Seerat Council MNA Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the whole nation would have to seek guidance from the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) for realizing the dream of making Pakistan an Islamic welfare state.
He said that believers in one God, one Holy Prophet and one Holy Book will have to work for the betterment of Muslim Ummah by remaining alert from the conspiracies being hatched by the enemies.
He said that any society can become ideal by acting upon the everlasting and universal teachings of Islam and various societies raised the monuments to development by following these principles.
He said that solution of problems being faced by Muslim Umma lies in acting upon Islamic teachings and need of brotherhood, unity and solidarity is more than ever now and we would have to promote national unity for coping with the challenges being confronted by the country created in the name of Islam.
He said that the rule of law and justice can be established in the society by acting upon Uswa-e-Hasna.
He said that there are different views and sects in all religions of the world but they respect the opinion of each other and act upon the policy of “live and let live” whereas there is extremism and intolerance in our society.
Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, MNA syed Tayyab Hussain, Former Prime Minister AJK Sardar Attiq Ahmed Khan, Hamid Mir, Pir Syed Hussain-ud-Din Shah and Provincial Health Minister Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Syed Zahir Hussain Shah also spoke on the occasion.
