Sharmila for CM Punjab to understand Jalibís vision
LAHORE, Nov 30 (APP): Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Sharmila Farooqi has said the chief minister Punjab should understand the vision of late Habib Jalib, a famous poet, instead of narrating his poems in the public meetings. Talking to the media after visiting the family of late Habib Jalib at his residence here on Wednesday, she said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was the only party which understand the idealogy of democracy and sacrifices of the party proved it.  She said the PML-N leadership talked about democracy at the grave of Zia ul Haq, former dictator and questioned, was it democracy?
She said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif read the poems of Habib Jalib and did not know his family was living in a miserable condition. The Chief Minister did not have the right to narrate his poems at public gathering, she added.
Sharmila lauded Habib Jalib for his sacrifices for democracy and said that the people should learn from his life, as he had never demanded anything for himself.
She listened to the problems of the Habib Jalib’s family and assured his wife and daughters that every possible support would be provided by the party.
She said the PPP would look after the entire family and provide financial support on monthly basis, besides his son and daughters would be given employment.
She said that wife of the late poet would be provided medical facility, wherever she desired.
She offered compliments to the family on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Sharmila presented a bouquet on behalf of President PPP, Women Wing Pakistan, Faryal Talpur and a basket of fruit.
In response to a question, she said that Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf was giving shelter to the rejected politicians like Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The popularity of the PPP was never affected when somebody left it, adding the 2013 elections would tell which party was popular among the people.
