ISLAMABAD, June 1 (APP): Minister for Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Friday presented Rs 2,960 billion annual budget for fiscal 2012-13 announcing various  relief measures for the poor and low income groups. In his budget speech in National Assembly, the minister said, the outlay of the federal budget for 2012-13 is proposed to be Rs. 2,960 billion, which is 0.6 % higher than the revised outlay of Rs. 2,940 billion for the outgoing financial year. The minister said gross federal revenues have been estimated at Rs. 3,234 billion during 2012-13 as compared to Rs. 2,732 billion budgeted for 2011-12, reflecting an increase of 18.3%.

He lauded the performance of government’s finance team and said that the revenues had improved, budget deficit had been controlled and inflation had decreased during the last fiscal year.

ISLAMABAD, May 31 (APP): Federal Minister for Finance, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh Thursday said that despite domestic and international challenges the economic growth rate stayed positive at 3.7 percent during the fiscal year 2011-12. Addressing a press conference at the launching ceremony of Economic Survey of Pakistan 2011-12, the finance minister said that during the outgoing year, the country's economy was affected by global meltdown, low investments and natural calamities including floods, however, despite all this the economy moved forward.

Quetta, June 21 (APP): Nawab Aslam Raisani led coalition government on Tuesday unveiled Rs 164.447 billion tax free budget for fiscal year 2011-12 including Rs 31.241 billion of annual development program and foreign assistance program of Rs 2.225 billion with a deficit of Rs 6.731 billion.Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani presided over the assembly sitting in which Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gailo presented the fourth budget.Delivering his budget speech, the Finance Minister said the non-development expenditures budget is Rs 133.206 billion including revenue expenditures Rs 90.562 billion and capital expenditures Rs 42.644 billion. He said estimates of receipts from province’s own resources Rs 4.851 billion.

The budget was announced by the AJK Finance Minister Abdul Rasheed Abbasi in the AJ&K legislative Assembly which met in  Muzaffarabad on Monday.

LAHORE, June 10 (APP):- Punjab government presented a balanced budget of Rs 654.96 billion for fiscal year 2011-12 in the Punjab Assembly session started here on Friday.Giving break-up of the estimated General Revenue Receipts of Punjab government during next fiscal year, the Finance Minister Kamran Michael, in his budget speech, said that provincial government would receive a major share of its budget from the Federal Divisible Pool under National Finance Commission Award amounting to Rs 530.65 billion. The Punjab would earn an estimated revenues of Rs 88.51 billion from Provincial Tax and Rs 35.65 billion under the head of Provincial Non-Tax Revenue, he added.

KARACHI, June 10 (APP): The Sindh Government announced a Rs 391.9 billion revenue-oriented budget here Friday for next fiscal, 2011-12, with revenue expenditures totalled to be around 283.14 billion.The budget was announced by Provincial Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in the Sindh Assembly.“Current budget estimates had been around Rs 340 billion in the previous fiscal,” he informed the House.The House was further informed that the current capital expenditure has been raised from Rs 44.96 billion to Rs 102 billion for next fiscal.
