UN Security Council slams persecution of Iraqi minorities -
UNITED NATIONS, July 22 (APP): The U.N. Security Council has denounced the persecution of Christians and other minority groups in northern Iraq, who have come under direct attack by the group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and its allies.

UNITED NATIONS, July 22 (APP):The Security Council Monday voted to approve a resolution calling for an international investigation into last week's downing of a Malaysia Airlines flight in eastern Ukraine, and demanded that armed groups allow unfettered access to the crash site and ensure that its integrity is maintained.

UNITED NATIONS, July 22 (APP): The U.N. agency assisting Palestinian refugees has issued an emergency appeal for $60 million to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of the people of Gaza, including tens of thousands who have fled their homes in the wake of the deadly Israeli military offensive.
