Islamabad Cricket Association names squad for Inter-District PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP): The Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) has announced a 25-member squad for the forthcoming PCB Inter-District Seniors Cricket Championship (Islamabad Regin), which starts here from July 1 to mark the begining of the new domestic seasion. 

The team was selected after a day-long trials conducted by former Test player Col Naushad Ali (Chairman), former international player Rizwan Khatib and Islamabad Region Head Coach Taimoor Azam. 

Following is the squad: Raheel Majeed, Naeem Anjum, Immad Wasim, Umair Khan, Rana Shahzad Azam, Yasin Bari, Sarmad Bhatti, Umair Mir, Mohammad Shahzad, Touseef Abbasi, Faizan Riaz, Fiaz Ahmed, Nasrullah Khan, Nauman Masud Butt, Farrukh Hayat, Kamran Hussain, Danish Qamar, Syed Zeeshan Ali, Ansar Mehmood, Salman Haider, Yasir Waheed, M Nadim, Sajid Ali, Sarwar Khan, Imran Khatib.

All the selected players have been advised to report to manager Nasir Iqbal and coach Nadim Abbasi on Tuesday at 3.00 p.m. at Diamond Club ground for a week-long camp and trial matches. 

ICA Is the defending champion of this inter-district senior cricket. The ICA will play its first match against AJK at newly-contructed Marghzar Cricket Ground, located at the the foot of Margalla Hills close to Model Saidpur Village.
