Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium to be ready in June
ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP): Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh on Tuesday said the hockey stadium at the Muslim School ground, Saidpur Road in Rawalpindi named after him would be completed in June to host international tournaments.
 
Ski races at Naltar, Kala Bagh postponed
ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP): The ski races scheduled to take place in Naltar Gilgit-Baltistan and Kala Bagh from February 4 to March 5 have been postponed due to a lack of snow.

Noted Aalim e Deen Maulana Tayyab attacked in Swabi PDF Print E-mail
PESHAWAR May 1 (APP): Noted Aalim e Deen and Central Ameer Jumaat Ishaat Al Tuheed Wal Sunnah Maulana Muhammad Tayyab survived an attempt on his life at his village Panjpir in District Swabi Wednesday evening.

Maulana Tayyab miraculously escaped unhurt when Vice Principal Polytechnic Institute Abdul Zahir allegedly opened firing upon him near his Madrassa. Maulana Sahib had tried to arrest the accused, however he managed to flee from the scene leaving the pistol at the spot.

The local police on the report of Maulana Sahib raided the institute and recovered illegal FM Radio Station and registered the case against the Vice Principal under Section 13(A) (O) and Section 324. The police have started investigation in the case.

Later briefing newsmen at his residence in Panjpir Village, Maulana Muhammad Tayyab brother of Major(retd) Aamir said the accused had other accomplices as well attacked Maulana Sahib which infuriated his students and well-wishers.

Maulana Tayyab said he had time and again told the Vice Principal to stop operating his illegal FM Radio Station as it was promoting vulgarity and obscenity in the areas besides affecting the Dars e Quran in the nearby Maadaris in Panjpir and Shah Mansoor areas.
