'Time for action is now', UN chief says hours before climate change conference opens -
UNITED NATIONS, Nov 30 (APP): Hours before the opening in Paris of the United Nations climate change conference, widely known as COP21, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged all countries and all sectors of society to act now to reach a new universal climate agreement.
"I'm reasonably optimistic and convinced that world leaders will adopt a very ambitious universal climate change agreement at this COP21," the UN chief told UN television in an interview at the Parisian headquarters of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Conference on Kashmir to be held on Dec, 7 in New York -
WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 (APP): The International Educational Development, an NGO accredited with the United Nations will hold a Conference on Kashmir on December, 7 with an aim to explore various possibilities to set a stage for  settlement of the lasting dispute.  The  Conference titled "Beyond the Blame Game: Finding Common Ground for  Peace & Justice in Kashmir,"  will be attended by international-famed lawyers, writers, human rights activists and other noted speaker.

Pakistan to contribute in global efforts on climate change issues: PM -
PARIS, Nov 29 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif  Sunday said with the developed countries having more responsibility in tackling the climate change challenges, Pakistan was ready to contribute in the global efforts."Though Pakistan has minimum level of carbon emissions, we will contribute in the global efforts to tackle the climate change issues," the Prime Minister said in a brief chat with the media  soon after his arrival here to attend the two-week 21st UN Climate Change Conference being opened in the French capital on Monday.

PM arrives in Paris to attend UN Climate Change Conference -
PARIS, Nov 29 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sunday arrived here on a two-day visit to France to represent Pakistan at the 21st UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) being held in the French capital from November 30 to December 11. The Prime Minister is accompanied by First Lady Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif and his Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.

PM leaves for Paris after concluding Malta visit -
VALLETTA, Malta, Nov 30 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sunday left here for France on the second leg of his visit after concluding his three-day trip to Malta where he participated in the 24th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The Prime Minister was seen off at Luqa International Airport by senior officials of the Malta government. Pakistan's Ambassador for Tunisia resident in Malta Zaheer Pervaiz Khan was also present.

KARACHI, Aug 16 (APP): The spinners duo of Asif Afridi and Sheraz Ali shared seven wickets between them to spin Tapal Cricket Club in the final of PTV 27th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan T20 Cricket Tournament with a comfortable 32-run victory over Dollar East at KG Ground on Thursday.Dollar East off-spinner Taha Mamsa in an amazing spell grabbed five wickets for 22 runs in four overs.
