UN chief appoints panel on creating ‘technology bank’ for world’s poorest nations -
UNITED NATIONS, Nov 27 (APP): United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has announced the formation of a High-Level Panel to study the scope and functions of a proposed new ‘technology bank’ dedicated to helping the world’s least developed countries (LDCs) advance out of poverty, the Organization’s spokesperson confirmed Thursday.

PM, CM discuss development projects in Balochistan PDF Print E-mail
cm.jpgISLAMABAD, Aug 2 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raeesani called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here Thursday and thanked him for the keen interest being evinced by the Federal Government in the early completion of  development projects in Balochistan.The Prime Minister said that work on the Kachi Canal project, Dadu-Khuzdar transmission line and Kallat-Quetta-Chaman Road project are being fast tracked so that they are completed within this year.These projects, he said, shall bring about a great impact in increasing the standard of living of the people of Balochistan.The Prime Minister assured the Chief Minister that the government is giving top priority to development projects in Balochistan and has decided to release all necessary funds so that they can be completed on time.
