UN relief official warns of Yemen conflict's 'catastrophic' consequences; urges humanitarian access -
UNITED NATIONS, July 28 (APP):  Witnessing first-hand the 'shocking' devastation in Yemen's main port city of Aden, the top U.N. relief official in the country has declared that the humanitarian consequences of the conflict are 'catastrophic,' making an urgent plea for safe, unhindered access for aid workers and a major scale-up of funding.

Pakistan making significant efforts to eliminate human trafficking: Report -
WASHINGTON, July 27 (APP) - Pakistan's government is making significant efforts to eliminate trafficking in persons, noted a latest report released by the U.S. Department on Monday, but pointed out areas where more efforts needed to be made against the problem.

NEW YORK, July 26 (APP): A leading US newspaper has called for the repeal of India's notorious Armed Forces Special Powers Act, or Afspa,  which authorizes Indian armed forces to commit "repeated, documented"  human rights abuses against civilians in designated "disturbed areas", including the occupied state of Kashmir.

WASHINGTON, July 25 (APP): The nuclear deal between Iran and  the Unites States will open up doors of massive trade for  Pakistan with Tehran, Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the  Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, was quoted as saying by US media.

KARACHI, July 20 (APP)- Pakistan skeet shooting star Khurram Inam, who is on the verge of creating history with his third Olympic appearance, was focussing to produce his best in London Olympics and bring glory and honor to the country. “Its great honor for me to become the first Pakistan shooter to feature in Olympics. But I am not aiming very high,” he said in an interview on Friday. Veteran shooter and South Asian record holder Khurram Inam, made his debut his debut in 2000 Sydney Olympics and also featured in Athens Olympics in 2004. But he missed Beijing Olympics in 2008.
