MELBOURNE, March 29 (APP): Australia won the 11th edition of Cricket World Cup on Sunday when they defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in one-sided final here at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
 
Hafeez must be made captain: Sarfraz Nawaz
ISLAMABAD, Mar 29 (APP): Former Test Cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz on Sunday urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make Muhammad Hafeez the captain of the One Day side saying currently the all-rounder suits best to lead the team.

MELBOURNE, March 29 (APP): Pakistan cricket team will be undertaking  a tour of Sri Lanka from the second week of June to play a series of 3-match Test, five One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals, a spokesman of Cricket Sri Lanka told reporters here at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

MELBOURNE, March 29 (APP): Australian left arm pace trio of Mitchell Johnson, James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc shared eight wicket between them to dismiss New Zealand for  mere 183 in 45 overs in the Cricket World Cup (CWC) final here on Sunday.
