UN urges all states to sign, ratify Nuclear Test Ban as 'critical step on road to nuclear-free world -
UNITED NATIONS, Aug 28 (APP):  United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has welcomed voluntary moratoria on testing imposed by nuclear-armed states but stressed that these cannot substitute for a legally-binding treaty.

ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP): The federal cabinet on Wednesday approved to increase seats for non-Muslims in national and provincial assemblies, proportionate to their population.Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, the cabinet constituted a committee comprising Minister for Law, Minister for Interfaith Harmony and Minister for Religious Affairs to submit a report on it in next cabinet meeting.On power shortage, the cabinet decided that there would be no load-shedding in Ramazan during the Taraveeh, Sehar and Iftar timings. It was decided to ensure load-shedding on equal basis throughout the country.The Water and Power ministry told the cabinet that power generation had increased and the shortfall reduced to 3500 MW.
