WASHINGTON, July 29 (APP): The current ties between Pakistan and the United States are marked by deep cooperation and the Obama administration acknowledges efforts by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for peace and stability in South Asia.

UNITED NATIONS, July 28 (APP):  Witnessing first-hand the 'shocking' devastation in Yemen's main port city of Aden, the top U.N. relief official in the country has declared that the humanitarian consequences of the conflict are 'catastrophic,' making an urgent plea for safe, unhindered access for aid workers and a major scale-up of funding.

WASHINGTON, July 27 (APP) - Pakistan's government is making significant efforts to eliminate trafficking in persons, noted a latest report released by the U.S. Department on Monday, but pointed out areas where more efforts needed to be made against the problem.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 30 (APP): Pakistani pride Aleem Dar has been honoured for becoming only the seventh umpire in the history of the cricket to officiate in 150 ODIs when he took the field for the five-ODI series opener between England and Australia at Lord’s on Friday.  To mark the achievement, Javagal Srinath of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match referees presented a memento to Aleem of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires at the post-match presentation ceremony, says a press release issued here.
