Naveed Foundation club wins Badminton trophy |

PESHAWAR, June 30 (APP): Naveed Foundation club clinched the trophy of the Malakand Sports for Peace Games Badminton event after defeating New Stars club by 3-1 final played at College Court, Dir Upper on Sasturday. The Games, which funded by UNDP-PaRRSA, entered into the last stages where the final of cricket, basketball, para-gliding and marathon would be played. The closing ceremony of the Games in Dir Upper will be held on Sunday with Former Federal Minister Najumddin Khan will grace the occasion as chief guest.
In the final of the badminton, New
Stars, Muzamil Khan defeated Naveed Foundation Muhammad Waseem, the
score was 21-19, 21-19, 13-21 and 21-17 while in the other singles,
Aliuddin of Naveed Foundation defeated Tahir Ullah by 3-0, the score was
21-17, 21-15 and 21-18 This was Wisal Khan who defeated Ibrar Khan of
New Stars by 3-0 while in the last singles Fazali Rabi beat Inayat Ullah
by 3-0, the score was 21-17, 21-19, and 21-17.
Hockey:
In the hockey event final Abdali club beat Adventure club by 2-0. The match was a one-sided affair. Abdali club who have the support of the sitting spectators opened the account through Rashid Hussain while Jabbar doubled the lead in the dying moments of the first session.
In the second session Abdali club and Adventure club tried their hard to reduce the margin but they were failed to click. The Advanture club also made some goal-fetching moves but they were not allowed by pack defence line of Abdali club.
In the Table Tennis Dir XI beat Stars club by 3-2. Mehran, Gohar, Muhammad Khan secured victory against Ibrahim, Ali and Rafaqat Ullah. For Stars club Irshad Hussain and Afsar won their matches in the best of five final.
