Committee approves replacement in Afghan squad
KARACHI, Feb 25 (APP): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 has approved Shafiqullah Shafiq as a replacement player for Merwais Ashraf in Afghanistan’s squad for the tournament.

PSB to hold Sports Conference on Thursday PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, June 26 (APP): Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is organizing a two-day Sports Conference from Thursday at a local hotel here with an aim to seek experts’ opinions for the uplift of sports in the country.  Sports experts will deliver lectures on the role of Pakistan  Olympic Association, Sports bodies, Media and Pakistan Sports Board for  the promotion of sports in the country, said a news release issued here on Tuesday.
Proposals, suggestions of the experts for the uplift of sports will also be taken into consideration during the group discussions of the conference.
The conference is expected to bring far lasting impact on the development of future strategy of sports. Federal Minister IPC, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani and Federal Secretary Anis ul Hasnain Musavi will be the chief guests during opening and closing ceremonies of the conference.
