ATF annual general meeting to be held in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Dec 1 (APP): The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) has announced that the 2016 AGM of the ATF shall be held in Pakistan, first time in the country’s history. The meeting of the apex body for the sport in the Asia/Oceania Zone,  with some 44 member nations was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on November  28 and 29.
Afridi soars in T20I rankings despite series loss
ISLAMABAD, Dec 1 (APP): Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has made some valuable gains in the latest ICC T20I Player Rankings, which were released following Pakistan 3-0 series defeat to England, which concluded in Sharjah on Monday night. The prolific 35-year-old all-rounder, who became the highest  wicket-taker in T20I history during the series (with 88 wickets in 87 matches to date), has climbed up one place to second in the all-rounder rankings and is 32 points behind Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan.

LAHORE, June 13 (APP)- Pakistan Hockey Federation here on Wednesday announced 18-member Pakistan Junior Women’s Hockey team for the participation in the 6th Women’s Junior Asia Cup being played from June 27 at Bangkok. Zakia Nawaz leads the side and her deputy is Fakhra Tabassum,said a spokesman of PHF here.Following are the other members of the team,Marina Anwar, Uzma Naz, Shahida Raza, Sadia Akram, Aqsa Mumtaz, Iqra Javed, Maria Sabir, Ambreen Arshad, Rehana Koosar, Sayeda Sadia, Saira Khanum, Sehrish Arif, Afshen Noreen, Irum Shahzadi, Kalsoom Shahzadi and Ayesha Yousuf. The team officials are,Parveen Sikandar Gill (Manager), Rana Zaheer Ahmed Babar (Coach),Lubna Baloch (Assistant Coach) and Hina Riaz team Doctor.
