UN chief calls for postponement of Yemen peace talks -
UNITED NATIONS, May 27 (APP):  Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has asked his Special Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, to postpone the planned consultations aimed at seeking a peaceful and Yemeni-led political transition process in the war-torn country, according to a United Nations spokesperson.

UNITED NATIONS, May 26 (APP): Northeast Nigeria has witnessed a sharp increase in suicide attacks involving women and girls this year, the United Nations children's agency warned Tuesday, calling on the country's incoming Government make the safety and well-being of children a political priority.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik on Wednesday said the government has nothing to do with the Arsalan Iftikhar case and should not be dragged into the  affair of two individuals. “I assure neither the government nor its any representative is involved in Arsalan’s case. It is a matter between two individuals and we do not want that a third party should take benefit of the situation,” he told mediapersons after attending a workshop against women  trafficking. Rehman Malik urged the media to act responsibly, saying he would leave politics if it is proved that he has a role in the Arsalan case.
