Pakistan lauds UNICEF for providing succour to Palestine’s war-affected children -
NEW YORK, Sept 13 (APP): Pakistan has commended the hard work of the United Nations Children’s Fund in addressing the complex needs of Palestinian children, including the psychological impact of the recent Israeli invasion of Gaza, and urged the agency to keep the situation under watch.

Shenshah-e-Ghazal Mehdi Hassan passes away PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): The legen classical singer known as  Shehensha-e-Ghazal Mehdi Hassan after a long period of illness passed away on  wednesday. He was 84 The legend singer Mehdi Hassan was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of  a private hospital a couple of days ago after suffering from multiple health problems, according to his son Arif Hassan.“My father has been ill for the last 12 years and has multiple lung, chest and urinary tract ailments which were being treated by the specialists,” Arif said.The legend Mehdi Hassan was born in a family of traditional musicians at Luna village, Rajasthan, in 1927. Later his family migrated to Pakistan after 1947.Mehdi Hassan who has inspired thousands of fans and followers for his melodious voice in subcontinent, cut back on his performances in late 80s due to illness.
