WAPDA's players grab Naval's Chief Staff Amateur Golf Tournament
ISLAMABAD, Nov 30 (APP): The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority's players Muhammad Rehman and Ghazanfar Mehmood snatched All Pakistan Chief of Navel Staff Amateur Golf Tournament, held at Royal Palm Golf Club, by obtaining first and second positions respectively.
Players should see Misbah as role-model: Mushtaq Ahmed
ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (APP): Pakistan bowling Coach Mushtaq Ahmed said the players should make Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq as their role-model as his fitness is commendable and an example to follow.  Mushtaq said Misbah is 40 plus now and still his fitness is admirable, therefore the current players should see him as an example to follow.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (APP): Top tennis seeds have confirmed their entries for participating in the Subh-e-Nau (SN) National Tennis Championship to be staged here at the PTF Tennis Complex from which will be played from Monday (November 30). Davis Cupper and seasoned Pakistani tennis veteran Aqeel Khan, Shahza Khan, Muhammad Abid, top junior player Muhammad Mudassar and leading women players Sara Mansoor have confirmed their entries for the tournament.

Pakistani HC hopes Pak-India cricket ties resume soon PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Jun 9 (APP): Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik has expressed the hope that bilateral cricketing ties between Pakistan and India will soon resume.Talking to Indian media in New Delhi, he counted the non-renewal of “cricket ties” as the biggest low of his tenure.“I think there is no better sight for a cricket lover like me to see two giants of cricket playing against eachother in sportsman spirit. I hope this get revived soon,” he said.Observing that only trade ties have seen tangible progress in the resumed Pakistan-India talks, he said all issues, including Siachen and Kashmir, must also “move in tandem” to sustain the peace process.
