PESHAWAR, June 1 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barriister Masood Kausar said that terrorist and anti-state elements take advantage of personal clashes and enmity among tribal people to disturb the social order and peace in society. He was talking to a delegation from Kuram Agency including Chairman Standing Committee on States & frontier Regions, Sajid Hussain Turi, Maliks and other respectable elders from the Agency at Governor’s House here, late Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said we want peace in the region
and asked tribal elders to put aside mutual differences and clashes so
that the anti-state elements may not get the advantage to exploit the
situation further more. He said we intend to establish more academic
institutions in tribal areas and the matter will soon be under
consideration.
The members of delegation said that they want to solve their problems through mutual negotiations. They said that people face severe threats while passing through the main road to Kurram Agency because of non-availability of security measures and ask the Governor to take effective steps in this regard.
